I am currently a fifth grade teacher at Sutton Central Elementary School in Sutton, NH. I have taught third grade for the last eleven years, and each year has been a fantastic and special adventure!
In 2016, I was awarded the Christa McAuliffe Sabbatical by the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. In 2018, I was awarded an Ocean Stewardship Award from the New England Aquarium (Honorable Mention). I have an Early Childhood Education degree, and a Masters in Educational Leadership. I am currently a board member for the Gulf of Maine Marine Education Association (GOMMEA).
I am a father to eight wonderful and rambunctious children. My wife Amy, who never ceases to amaze me, is a stay-at-home mom and piano teacher. I am extremely thankful for my family.
When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my kids, writing poetry, playing basketball or football, and enjoying the vacation world we live in here in New Hampshire.
When I am teaching I am striving to:
- develop caring and respectful relationships with my students
- create an environment that is welcoming and safe for all students and guests
- establish a pattern of learning experiences that are engaging and lead to a depth of understanding
